Festival · Legacy · St. Louis
A St. Louis-born celebration of living icons, cultural pioneers and the stories that must never be lost.
The purpose
Founded by April Floyd and Eddie Floyd Jr. and presented by FEG — Floyd Entertainment Group, Legends In Film brings legacy and new opportunity into the same room through film, music, recognition, conversation and community.
The festival honors accomplished artists while they are here to receive the love, respect and recognition they have earned. Their journeys become inspiration—and a living archive—for filmmakers, artists and storytellers still finding their way.
More than an awards ceremony
Awards created to give living legends their flowers and preserve the meaning behind their work.
Screenings, premieres, short films and documentaries that turn cultural history into stories audiences can experience.
Live music and special appearances that connect the screen to the sound and soul behind the legacy.
Red carpets, interviews, panels and gatherings that bring icons, filmmakers, media, audiences and emerging talent together.
Festival history
Born in St. Louis. Built to preserve history. Growing into a permanent cultural institution.
A citywide milestone
The City of St. Louis recognized the festival’s cultural vision with a proclamation connected to “Legends In Film Day”—affirming the importance of celebrating artistic pioneers and preserving their stories.

Purpose in action
After a devastating St. Louis tornado disrupted venues, equipment and staffing, Legends In Film transformed into a Metropolitan Urban League tornado-relief fundraiser. Screenings, donations and auctions supported recovery while the festival honored humanitarian leader Michael P. McMillan.
